Ok, this is driving me insaneee. Something's wrong with my colors in Photoshop, or something. When I follow a tutorial, it doesn't give me the result it's supposed to. I've tried this on several different tuts, and they are all messed up.

You know you love Iron Man SO MUCH you use a whole ink cartridge
I love Iron Man, I love Robert Downey Jr, I love movie posters!
I really wanted an Iron Man movie poster, but I realize my heart was set on the International version over the Domestic. It just looks color and alot more badass plus no "floating heads" but I'm in a pinch this summer, and I can't afford the ones on ebay plus most of them are coming from Asia and I can't pay insured shipping for a poster costing me $6.99 when the shipping is like $30..

so I got adventerous...I said, well why don't I make the post myself. Heck, I got an empty poster frame...what do I have to lose?

Lots of ink of course..

Gimme More John Standring

This video by delicateblossomvideo proved a point to me, RA doesn't have to be dressed in black leather to still be sexy to this song. LOL I think it might just be the RA effect.

Coloring
Hello, this is my first post here, but I recently found these icons below - cannot remember whom they're by :/ - and was wondering how one could possibly achieve this kind of coloring:

They just look very vibrant and kind of yellow-y. If you need to see originals to know how much of a change it produced, just ask because I have them. ^^

I have both Corel PSP X and Photoshop CS3.

Edit: I have both, but would prefer to use PSP - but only if I could get the same coloring in it; if PS is better, then I'll use that.

Plaid and PVC
I like to consider this project my "salvaged materials" cincher.

I know the combo is a bit overdone, but I literally had the materials laying around. The outer layer was a loosely woven cotton plaid from another old project (it shifted more than I would have liked), the inner layer is herringbone denim, the lining is a basic black cotton, and the PVC boning channels (it's backed with a layer of herringbone denim) were from a pair of cheap PVC pants.

I have worked with PVC before for another project and hated it. I still hate it. It's not a material I use often so I have no reason to buy attachments for my machine to make it easier.

I basted the plaid to the denim and treated it as one layer, and then made a separate lining. I used external casings for the bones (all spiral except front and back) for the first time and even though I have a few obvious mistakes visible in the PVC, I'm not too concerned.

I also finished the binding by hand and I'm a little proud of my results. I know I'm chunkier than my dress form, but I tried to pad it out to be closer to the right shape. I included a really awful mirror shot of me for good measure! There's a few pics and they're all kind of big so I used a cut.

Layer masking tutorial for Photoshop
This is a tutorial about layer masking, as requested with this post at my journal by [info]library_of_sex.

Going from these red carpet shots Photobucket Photobucket to this Photobucket in five steps.

It explains the basics of layer masking and although I'm assuming you know at least a little about Photoshop, it's very beginner-friendly. It was made in PS CS3, but I know nothing about other programs, sorry.

Here we go )

Robándole el Calor al Sol
Fandom : Twilight
Título: Robándole el Calor al Sol.
Personajes: Edward Cullen y Seth Clearwater.
